International Festival

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2011

Each year, the Meadville Cooperative Preschool puts on a fabulous event on the campus of Allegheny College, known as “International Festival”.  The preschool families, as well as families from the community, are invited to create displays based on various countries from around the world.  Our children enjoy helping us put the displays together and it is such a great learning experience for them.  The event is coming up THIS Sunday, February 27th and is open to the public.   Please check out the flyer for additional information.  We would LOVE to see you there!

Excited for MJC!

This past week, the much-anticipated Matilda Jane orders arrived!  I think I was as excited as Tatum was about seeing it all.  Haha!  I think most everyone who ordered shared in our excitement as they were able to look through their new goodies.  The mini sessions will be scheduled soon, so be on the look-out for those sneak peeks in the next few weeks.  In the mean time, here is Tatum showing off a couple of her faves from House of Clouds :-)  The beautiful headbands are from the fabulous Ryah Sofia!

Hearts.

Nothing says ‘Valentine’s Day’ like hearts, right?  Well, the kids and I decided to make a nice banner for the house to celebrate.  We used red and pink paper and lots of glitter glue. :-)  It was so fun and the kids were so proud of their work!  Check it out!

I hope you all have a wonderful day with the ones you love!

Valentines!

I remember as a child how FUN it was to send Valentines to school.  I loved sitting in my room, writing my name on all the little cards, which I knew I would get to put in the awesome mailbox I had made in school.  Do you remember those boxes?  We usually made them out of shoe boxes and then plastered them with red and pink construction paper hearts, endless amounts of glitter and, of course, glue.  Those were the days!

My kids made nice little bags in school with lots of stencil hearts this year.  So cute!  Their Valentines featured their pictures on them (I bet you’re all surprised, right?!) and they signed their names, ever so carefully, on them.  SO CUTE!

Here are a few pics from a couple quick Valentine Minis this year.  SO FUN!!!

I hope you and your families have a fantastic Valentine weekend!

Well, I’ve been talking about this long enough, I figure it’s about time I actually start POSTING it.  Several of my clients have created, either alone or with my assistance, wonderful wall galleries using photos or canvases from our sessions together.  I know a lot of people have a difficult time visualizing photos in their homes, so I’m hoping this helps give people ideas of what can be done.

In this client’s home, she had a couple blank spaces that we filled up after our session in 2009.  In this particular display, she has a 16×24 and an 11×14.

She also purchased a stunning 20×30 canvas for a nook in her living room.

In the spring, she decided to have a family session with the intention of creating a statement wall gallery in her living room.

She used (2) 24×30′s (7) 11×14′s and (3) 8×10′s.  I think it turned out beautifully!

Thank you, K, for sharing your home with us!  It was so much fun working with you, as always!

If you have photos of the ways you have displayed KGP images around your home and are interested in being featured, please email them to us.  We’d LOVE to see them!
