In need of some new family photos? Some pictures of you and your significant other? Are the photos of your little one(s) outdated? I have a solution for you!

A friend, and fellow artist, is holding an auction this week for a wonderful cause. She is the talent behind Ryah Sofia Headbands and has a personal reason for wanting to raise this money. ALL the proceeds from the auction will go to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I am proud to say that I have donated a FULL session and a disc with ALL images! Yes, yes. This is a first for me. As a favor to some friends of mine, I did my first wedding this past weekend. Amanda and Tony had a fabulously fun backyard wedding on Saturday. It rained north of us. It rained south of us. By the grace of God, they had a (mostly) rain-free event! It was a beautiful ceremony.

I know they are anxiously awaiting this, so without further ado, here is a very quick glimpse at the bride & groom!

Meet Karla and Josh.

They are an amazing couple. SO in love, SO cute. We went down to the dock and it was such a nice night. We had a blast at their session, laughing the whole time!

It has special meaning to K + J. They had many chats here. Spent a lot of time together here. He even proposed here!! If the city ever decides to get rid of this bench, I think Karla and Josh should get first dibs!

Last night, I had the pleasure of photographing a family…a family with 4, four-legged children! Let me tell you…it was a blast! Jenny (who is a knock-out!) owns Head West Hair Saloon and is awesome (you might remember, she is the one I went to for my Brazilian Blowout). Everyone was SO well behaved and really put up with a lot. They were such good “kids”!

This evening I had a fantastic engagement shoot with this awesome couple. They are so in love and so much fun. Oh, and did I mention how hot they are? Seriously. Look at them. We had a fabulous time out on the boat and made a few stops along the way. We managed to avoid any rain, too! Score!

Product Spotlight {Session Album}

It is a beautiful, sunny Saturday here! What better to do on such a day than to share another product?? Okay, so there is a lot that I *could* be doing, but since my daughter was napping, I decided to take advantage of those quiet moments and grab a few shots of this fabulous session album.

It is a beautiful, 8×8 black leather album that holds 20 images. I think it is best described in photo. It’s gorgeous. See for yourself!

What To Wear – Couples Edition

For this segment of “What To Wear”, I put together outfits that would be great for an urban “couples” shoot. Kelly wanted a look that was very fashionable and also asked that I incorporate some winter-appropriate pieces into the look because unfortunately, it looks like winter isn’t letting up anytime soon.

You might as well cooperate with the cold if you want to get your photos taken now, as there are definitely ways to still look great in winter clothing! I used neutrals for the majority of both outfits, while adding a pop of the same teal color in each outfit. Generally, I think the woman gets more attention in pictures than the guy because a lot of time the women are more fun to look at – they usually have more interesting clothing! So to put the guy and girl on an even playing field, I picked teal as the accent color here because it is a really nice and unexpected color for the man – much more interesting than a navy or beige sweater. I also found the perfect complement in a fierce shoe for the woman. The idea is to give the outfit a ”classic” feel overall, but make sure it is vibrant and fun by adding details like the teal colored shoes and sweater. Also, make sure to dress it up a little; you don’t want to look boring and drab in matching jeans and white button down shirts. It’s okay to show off a little personality in your outfits, just try to stay away from really busy patterns or writing on your clothing – you want the attention to stay on your face – just use the clothing as a complement!

New product for 2010 {Urban Panel} | Meadville Senior Photographer

So, I am super excited about a new product that I am offering. I saw them and just *had* to get one. Okay, two. They are METAL. Yes, metal. What is cooler than that?? Not much. You should see these things…they are practically 3D. They have shine and depth to them like nothing else. The colors POP. I seriously love them. I have two on hand…an 8×10 and a 16×20. The 8×10 would be perfect on a desk or in a locker. The 16×20 would look fab on the wall. Or on my desk, as it currently resides. Haha! I will also be offering an 11×14 size.

Here are photos of them, although the photos truly do not do it justice. It must be seen to be appreciated.
